Ask Claude what the internet actually said
last30days is a free (MIT) skill by Matt Van Horn. Type /last30days and a question: it searches Reddit, Hacker News, Polymarket and GitHub with no API keys, scores posts by real engagement and writes a brief with a link on every claim, ending in "choose X if".
1 Install
In Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add mvanhorn/last30days-skill
/plugin install last30daysCodex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other agent hosts:
npx skills add mvanhorn/last30days-skill -gThe repo on GitHub. Needs Python 3.12+. X, YouTube, TikTok and more sources unlock after its setup (some need keys or browser sign-ins).
2 The exact command from the reel
/last30days Claude Code vs Codex --deepOur run (18 Oct 2026, Claude Code, Sonnet 5.5): 28 Reddit threads, 24 Hacker News stories, 10 Polymarket markets and GitHub, about 5 minutes, about $0.61 at API prices (we were on a Max plan). YouTube was rate-limited that run, X was off. Treat sentiment as directional, and open the links.
3 Five more to try
/last30days Cursor vs Claude Code vs Codex/last30days is Claude Max worth it --quick/last30days <person you meet tomorrow>/last30days what's exploding in AI agents?/last30days <thing you are about to buy> --quick
--quick is faster with fewer sources; --deep reads more. Our "is Claude Max worth it --quick" run took 65 seconds.
4 Good to know
It saves each brief as a markdown file in ~/Documents/Last30Days. Check quotes against the linked threads before you repeat them: in our run one Reddit thread about a third-party plugin was summarised as a Claude Code feature.
